Tata to introduce India's 1st AMT diesel car at an affordable price

Tata now plans to shift from the 'most affordable' to the 'first affordable' tag by creating its route in the growing AMT car space. The company is going to give India its first diesel-powered automated manual transmission car at an affordable price.

As per the company sources, the future cars of Tata are going to incorporate advanced technologies from Harman. This system includes car-to-mobile phone interface and in-car connectivity applications.

Apart from Tata, a number of other car makers are trying to get into the AMT cars range, following the success of Maruti Celerio.
