Audi finally launched in India the much hyped S6 sedan in the domestic auto market amid great buzz. Audi S6 is based on the A6 sedan and in the true sense it’s a performer, as it churns out a maximum power of 420 bhp and peak torque of 550 Nm.

To celebrate the sale of 6,000 Audi A6 in India, Audi has launched a special edition of luxury sedan A6 in India. The special edition of its largest selling luxury sedan A6 comes equipped with nine unique features comprising a broad portfolio of innovation. The special edition Audi A6 sports Adaptive Air Suspension with Audi Drive Select, 4-Zone Deluxe Air conditioning, Rear Side Airbags, Bose Surround Sound System, MMI Touch, Comfort Key, MMI Remote Control, Front Co-Driver seat adjustment from the rear and LED headlights. The luxury is available in two engine options - 2.0 TDI and 3.0 TDI. The Special Edition Audi A6 is launched at an introductory price of Rs. 46.33 lakh onwards.

Petrol price hiked again, fourth time in six weeks.

According to PTI reports, oil companies hiked the price of petrol by Rs 1.55 per litre, without taxes. The price of diesel was kept unchanged.

Petrol price hiked again, fourth time in a span of six weeks. The petrol price on Sunday has been is hiked by Rs 1.55 a litre, excluding taxes. The new rates will become effective from Sunday midnight, the first increase in rates this month.

With effect from July 16, petrol will cost Rs 1.55 more before taxes. Actual increase will be higher and will vary from city to city depending on local taxes.

As per practice of re-evaluating rates every fortnight, the inevitable price hike was due tomorrow, but has come in effect a day in advance. However, diesel prices will not be hiked now as the revision in its rates is due at the month end.

Honda launches Dream Neo at Rs. 46,140

Honda claims the Dream Neo will deliver a fuel efficiency of 74kmpl.

"Dream Neo is Honda's next big leap towards creating deep inroads into the Indian commuter segment. We are confident of demand for Honda two wheelers and eye 43 per cent growth with 39.3 lakh unit sales this fiscal," Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd (HMSI) Vice President for Sales and Marketing Y S Guleria said at the launch.

Backed by the new product launches and network expansion, Honda aims to grow over 150 per cent in 100-110cc motorcycle segment year-on-year, he said HMSI will be expanding its sales outlets to about 2,500 by end of this fiscal from 1,950 in the previous fiscal.

Developed specifically for the Indian customers, the new entry-level 'Dream' series motorcycle is powered by a 110 cc engine and the company claims that it will give a mileage of 74 kilometer per liter of petrol.

Nissan launches two Micra variants

Nissan Micra facelift launched in India

Nissan has launched the new facelift Micra for a starting price of Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The entry-level Micra Active for an very competitive price of Rs 3.50 lakh(ex-showroom Delhi). The facelift version of the Micra also gets a top-end petrol CVT automatic variant priced at Rs 6.39 lakh.

he Active's starting price is Rs 3.50 lakh and the Sporty has been priced at Rs 4.79 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki India launch a limited edition of Swift RS

Maruti Suzuki introduced a limited edition variant of premium compact Swift RS.

Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday introduced a limited edition variant of premium compact Swift. The car is Rs 24,500 costlier than the present model.

Swift RS is coming with new style, designs and graphics. Also it is available only in the VXi and VDi variants.

The launch of the new limited edition comes at a time when the company has seen decline in sales in a car market which has been on a expanded slump.

"The Swift RS is in continuation of Maruti Suzuki's celebrations planned around Swift model as it moves towards the one million cumulative sales mark," MSI Vice President (Marketing) Manohar Bhat said.

"We are confident that limited edition Swift RS will be ideal for customers who look to further enhance the sporty character and style of the Swift," Bhat said.

The Swift RS will be available at Maruti Suzuki dealers from early July 2013 for a limited period, the company said.
